Position overview 

The Field Training Coordinator (FTC) is primarily responsible for facilitating consistent, impactful manager training for Bar Louie’s certified training locations. FTC’s work shoulder to shoulder with all managers in training for the duration of their training at our designated certified training locations. The field training coordinator will act as a guide for every MIT in each month’s onboarding class to ensure trainee’s graduate the program with the skills and tools needed to succeed in their new role.

Position responsibilities

  • Owns the success rate for the completion of MIT training for every Manager in Training for their designated certified training location
  • Manages tracking of the MIT program and its participants for the designated certified training location.
  • Partners with other HR team members to evaluate MIT program content and activity to ensure ongoing development and effectiveness.
  • Collaborates with designated Certified Training Location management team to effectively execute training program for incoming MIT’s
  • Manage, track, and own the completion of all critical requirements of training for each MIT
  • Effectively communicate and organize upcoming MIT’s, MIT progress updates and completion updates with corresponding directors of     operations
  • Work with directors of operations to ensure they are knowledgeable on all steps of the MIT program
  • Responsible for keeping all MIT materials updated for designated certified training location.
  • Lead the area with integrity and knowledge that promotes Bar Louie’s Mission Vision & Values
  • Develops and communicates MIT program schedules monthly, for all incoming MIT’s

A successful Field Training Coordinator is organized and detail oriented. You enjoy seeing a project through, from start to finish. You love the bar atmosphere and enjoy working in it with new and different people every day. You might not have the answer to every question, but you thrive on helping people find the solution. You are just as comfortable sending a professional email as you are interacting and coaching with a cook in the kitchen.

Education and training

  • High school diploma or equivalent and be at least 21 year of age or older.
  • 2-3 years’ hospitality or restaurant experience with strong interest and knowledge of food service required.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with Managers and Team Members and Guests.
  • The ability to coach and develop people at all experience levels to succeed within their role.
  • The ability to develop positive relationships with support services, Team Members and Managers.
  • The ability to multi-task; manage deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly efficient, detail oriented; focus on accuracy and organized.
  • Exceptional customer service skills. Famous for your hospitality.
  • The ability and desire to pursue constant improvement and personal growth.
  • Presents a professional, business-like image while representing Bar Louie.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software products.

Basic physical requirements

When working at a gastrobar location, Team Member must be able to perform the duties of that location. These requirements may include: Lifting up to 10 (ten) pounds constantly and up to 50 (fifty) pounds as required. Lifting from floor to shoulder constantly and overhead infrequently. Twisting and reaching frequently. Grasping objects to move or manipulate constantly. Working in alternatively hot or cold environments for extended periods of time. May inadvertently bump into team members in a relatively small work area. Will stand and walk for extended periods of time. FREQUENT hand washing and sanitation is required. Ability to use knives, slicing equipment, and other food preparation equipment. Team Member must be able to communicate with Guests and other Team Members and manipulate handheld and desktop devices.

Base pay range

$52,500/yr - $62,500/yr
