Position overview

This is a Contract Opportunity

As a contractor, you will ensure that the Accounts payable department operates smoothly and handle communications between the different parts of the accounting department and other external parties. You will maintain records, prepare financial reports and ensure that all work is completed in a timely manner and in accordance with company, state, and federal financial regulations. We are a small Company, so all leaders at Bar Louie are willing to cross train and evolve their workload as needed.

Position responsibilities

  • Partner with AP staff and manage accounts payable process including reconciling AP subledger, payment application and processing 1099’s
  • Reconcile vendor statements
  • Manage interfaces between inventory system, accounts payable system and general ledger system
  • Process and post journal entries
  • Analyze Income Statement and Balance Sheet Accounts
  • Assist with daily bank account and credit card reconciliations
  • Work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality customer service
  • Partner with other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy and applying observations and recommendations to operational issues.
  • Prepare audit work papers as needed for year-end audit
  • Other accounting duties as assigned

  • Ability to problem solve and trouble-shoot quickly
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Minimum intermediate Excel skills with proficiency in Office 365 suite of products
  • Experience with OCR based AP system preferred
  • Experience with Business Central accounting software preferred

Education and training

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field with 1 years’ experience preferred
  • Associate degree in accounting, business or related field with 2-3 years’ experience required

Basic physical requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, talk via Cloud Based video conferencing and the phone, hear and manipulate objects. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
